AGITA, 10% WG Water-soluble granule (NOVARTIS)

Formulation: 10% thiamethoxam and 0.05% Cis-tricos-9-en Agita 10% WG, developed to combat adult houseflies found in animal shelters, barns, fattening farms and food businesses, and is prepared as a granular powder specific for application by mixing during the use phase. Pharmacology and properties: Thiamethoxam, the active ingredient of Agita 10% WG, is a stomach poison for flies. When applied by painting or spraying to places where flies feed regularly, its lethal insecticidal effect develops as it is taken up by the flies.

Areas of use: Agita is used to combat black flies in animal shelters, dairy farms and food production areas.

How to use and dosage: Agita 10% WG is used with paint and spray applications. The specified application options are targeted especially on sunny and warm walls, wooden curtains, window surrounds, milk pipes and around feeders, where flies coexist or settle.

Dyeing: 100 grams of Agita 10% WG is mixed with 65 ml of warm water in a suitable container to reach a consistency that can be dyed. The prepared mixture is sufficient for a floor area of 40 m2 or approximately 100 m2 of wall or ceiling area corresponding to this area. In applications based on painting, there must be at least 7-8 painted sections of 10x30 cm in size. Cardboards cut into strips and painted with the same mixture can be hung in unpainted areas or areas where color change is not desired. With this application option, a permanent effect is achieved for 6-8 weeks.

Spray: 100 grams of Agita 10% WG is mixed with 0.8 liters of warm water in the sprayer tank. The prepared mixture is sufficient for a building with a floor area of 20 m2 or the corresponding wall or ceiling area of 50 m2 (spraying on 30% of the total surface is sufficient). With this application option, a permanent effect is achieved for 4-6 weeks. If the spraying process is interrupted for more than 30 minutes, the mixture must be shaken well before re-application. It is recommended to apply Agita 10% WG mixture on the same day or immediately after its preparation. It should not be applied to dirty, extremely porous or newly limed surfaces.

Warnings: Open food and containers are removed before applying 100 gr Agita 10% WG. It is harmful to bees. After used medicine containers are thoroughly emptied, they are crushed and thrown away. Pharmaceutical residues should not be dumped into streams, lakes and sewers. Since there is a risk of poisoning for humans, users should take precautions to minimize their contact with the drug.
