Effect of Zinc (Zn) on Corn and Wheat

Zinc use in plants
Use of Zinc in Wheat
The use of zinc in wheat increases tillering as it triggers the auxin hormone in the plant. It lengthens the joint between two leaves and prevents bushing.
It expands the leaf blades. It makes the wheat grain red.
Zinc use in corn
The use of zinc in corn causes the inter-leaf node to lengthen by triggering the auxin hormone in the plant, preventing bushiness, thus creating the corn cob attachment from the upper parts. Therefore, it has a positive effect on efficiency.
Zinc deficiency is more common, especially since narrow-leaved plants are sensitive.
